About I Hate Records
I Hate Records (established 2025) is a nonprofit record store formed by members of the San Francisco DIY punk scene and the home of our local label FYJFY records. We're located at 413 Haight Street in San Francisco and are open every day from 12-6pm.
We specialize in punk, but also carry pretty much every genre. Along with vinyl, we carry tapes, CDs, T-shirts, vintage clothing, studs/spikes, patches, local art, posters, and all sorts of strange knick knacks.
Our mission is to keep punk alive and well in the Bay Area by creating a home base for our community, and we invite anyone who may be interested in the San Francisco punk scene to stop by and see what were about!

About FYJFY
FYJFY is a DIY San Francisco punk label run by the owners of I Hate Records. We put out physical media for the bands in our local scene and host all sorts of different shows in different places around the city. We want all of our friends in the punk world to have an opportunity to be heard, and every time you buy something from the FYJFY label, you're helping us raise the funds to do exactly so. Our catalogue is small right now, but we have a lot of projects were working on behind the scenes and hope you stick around to see what comes next from FYJFY!

SHITSHOW ON BART
We played a show on a BART train expecting maybe 10 people to show up and to get shut down immediately. What actually happened was enough people showed up to completely pack out at least 3 cars on the train. The train ended up getting stuck somehow at Fruitvale Station and everyone had to evacuate. All organizers of this event paid our BART fare of course.

APRIL FOOLS 7/11 SHOW
For an April Fools joke, we decided to play a set with both our bands (False Flag and Surprise Privilege) at the same time at a burned down 7/11 gas station. Full video is on Youtube if you wanna check out how bad it was.
